Who we are:
At the Oneonta Community Health Center (OCHC) in Oneonta, NY, we provide free health care service for low-income, uninsured adults. We also offer help to individuals challenged with health care and insurance costs. Our mission is to provide free, compassionate primary health care to the uninsured and underinsured adults of Otsego and surrounding counties. OCHC seeks to address the health care shortfalls for the uninsured and underinsured in the region. Operationally OCHC is guided by Dr. Benjamin Friedell and administratively by the Board of Directors, known as the Friends of Oneonta community Health Center (FOCHC).
The Opportunity:
The Executive Director will be the public face of OCHC: a leader that will spearhead our efforts to increase and sustain the scope, breadth, and visibility of our services as well as expand and formalize our local and regional partnerships. A staunch advocate with a curious, entrepreneurial spirit, and a strong commitment to serving the community.
This is a part-time, hybrid position not to exceed 20 hours per week and is based out of Oneonta, NY. The salary range for this position is $30,000- $35,000 annually. The ED reports to OCHC’s supportive and growing FOCHC. Benefits include two weeks of paid time off. After first year probationary period an annual review of compensation, benefits, and hours will be revisited.

How you’ll bring our organization’s vision to life:
● Engage nonprofit and community partners to advance OCHC’s mission through collective impact
● Collaborate with the outreach coordinator and board on fundraising efforts through donor cultivation, grant writing/reporting and stewardship
● Lead public relations by leveraging radio, TV, and press interviews in conjunction with the outreach coordinator
● Manage the organization’s finances through budgeting, banking, incoming payments, and expenses tracking
● Supervise and support the professional development of clinical staff, volunteers, and interns
● Ensure that all OCHC operations abide by Federal and State Nonprofit 501C3 regulations
● Prepare a monthly report to the Board of Directors and attend all Board and executive committee meetings
● Develop a strong working relationship with OCHC’s Medical Director, Dr. Benjamin Friedell
Qualifications
● Three years of management level experience in a non-profit or health services
● Relevant educational and professional experience required, Bachelor’s degree preferred
● Living within enough proximity to OCHC’s office to join in-person meetings and community events
● Proficiency in Adobe, Excel, and Quickbooks
● Commitment to organization and patient confidentiality
● Proactive, positive, and energetic work ethic
